There is often a misconceive between verification and validation. In simple words, it is before and after proof. The validation & verification process continues in a cycle until the team achieves a certain level of quality. There are few steps in contrast:
Verification
Validation
Verification includes evaluation and meetings to evaluate documents, plans, codes, and meet specified requirements. This can be achieved with checklists, issues lists, go-throughs, and inspection meetings. Validation is followed up by verification, it is testing after completion of verification.
Verification assures that at a phase the action does its intended task without causing any complications. Validation is authentication over time or after completion of verification. It ensures that implemented action is working properly. The verification process is responsible for the identification of root causes. The validation process is responsible for the identification of the root causes being removed. Verification is referred to as a set of tasks to ensure that are implemented on a specific function correctly by the software. validation is referred to as a different set of tasks to ensure that built software is traceable up-to consumer’s requirements.
